Augie Bones was born from founder Tanya Hart after she adopted her dog Augie during covid. As an 90lb American Staffie, he loved to chew on the popular nylon/plastic tough toys, but Tanya hated that he would swallow little bits of the plastic that would flake off when chewing. She’s also a co-founder of a sustainable polymer engineering company, called Titan Bioplastics. It was a natural opportunity to get the science team in Titan to develop a sustainable material that behaved just like Augie’s favorite toys but were better for him and the planet.
